September Program: “Forming Forerunners: An Overview of Contemporary Sculptural Metal Objects and Their Historical Antecedents” with Jeff McGee

jeff 2Come spend an evening with us and enjoy Jeff McGee’s lecture “Forming Forerunners: An Overview of Contemporary Sculptural Metal Objects and Their Historical Antecedents.”

When it comes to forming objects, Jeff can drop knowledge like its hot. This guy can smack a humpback whale out of flat sheet without thinking twice, but it’s also his thoughtful connection to object lineages that give his pieces their richness. This is an excellent opportunity for those who missed the forming workshops to get an inside look into the technique and its history. And for those who have already heard Jeff wax poetic about the mechanics, this is a chance to see some fascinating conceptual evolution. This lecture is not to be missed!
