Are you a fan of vintage tin toys?  Do you love connections and joints that provide textural and design interest?  If so, HMAG invites you to come see Nisa Blackmon’s fun and informative presentation on tab construction and folding techniques! We will see examples of her beautiful work and have an open Q&A discussion following her presentation.

Nisa Blackmon is a vigorous hybrid of artist and biologist, with degrees in both fields. She completed a Master of Fine Arts in the Metal Program at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 2010, but has been a practicing metalsmith since 1992. She shows her work regionally and nationally and has taught metals and jewelry classes and workshops at the community, collegiate and national level. Nisa teaches general biology at Illinois Wesleyan University and maintains a studio in her home.
