HMAG at Hands-On Houston

HMAG at Hands-On Houston

HMAG is invited by Houston Center for Contemporary Craft’s (HCCC) Communications Director, Mary Headrick, and Executive Director, Julie Farr to be a part of “Hands-On Houston” (HOH)! They are working on filming  a short promotional video of education initiatives and would like us to be a part of it.

OrnamentHOH is a free craft-activity open house on the first Saturday of every month. Each month, a teaching artist  instructs participants in a new craft activity related to the current exhibitions. This year HMAG will be creating Holiday Ornaments- a foil embossing play-day for families and children of all ages! We are expecting approximately 300 participants. So put on your craft hats, bring a smile, and  let’s bring some holiday cheer to our community!

We need volunteers! There will be two 3-hour time slots available, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, with some overlap in between. If you would like to help man the tables, assist visitors with the craft, or just help in any way you can, please contact Cathy Prieto-Smith and let her know your availability!

When: December 7, 2013 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Where: Houston Center for Contemporary Craft – 4848 Main Street, Houston TX 77002
